    • All Villas include full-size kitchens if you choose to create your own
    • Outdoor Grills are available to all Guests
    • Markets of Placencia Village are a five-minute bike ride or shuttle by our staff to purchase your ingredients
    • If you choose to dine in the Village, it’s just a stroll along the beach, a five-minute bike or kayak trip away and every evening we provide complimentary shuttle service for your pleasure. Shuttle service is limited to four persons at any one time.

Processes have been implemented to disinfect common areas more frequently for premises/areas with high traffic flow and common facilities throughout the day:

  • Beach and Pier lounges sanitized after each guest usage, following their departure from the beach and/or pier locations
  • Bicycles are not currently available due to Government of Belize regulations
  • Kayaks, paddle boards and their associated equipment sanitized after each guest usage
  • Beach towel distribution area

 

Sanitizing Stations

  • Chabil Mar has created hand sanitizing stations, which are strategically placed throughout the property
  • Each Villa have a supply of hand sanitizer for guests

Staff Training

  • Health & Safety Workplace practices
  • COVID-19 facts, prevention, importance of social distancing, proper Personal Protection Equipment usage and disposal
  • Proper hand and personal hygiene
  • Skills, Tasks, Job breakdown for: Restaurant staff, Kitchen staff, Housekeeping staff
  • Food Handler training for food service employees

Cleaning

  • All cleaning staff will wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment while conducting cleaning duties and receive guidance on what to wear for specific activities
  • All laundry and reusable linens are washed in water at 60 °C or above
  • All food service items (plates, cutlery, cups, glassware, serving trays etc.) are washed in water at 80°C or above
  • Regular maintenance is carried out on air conditioning vents and filters to promote good air quality

Employee Wellness

  • Temperature of each employee upon arrival for their shift
  • Employees practice social distancing, avoid congregating in break and lunch rooms, avoid sharing desks, phones, computers, etc., and regularly sanitize their workstations
  • Employees must wear a face mask throughout their work shift and during interactions with guests

Contact-less Reservations / Check-in / Check-out

  • Employees must wear a face mask throughout their work shift and during interactions with guests
  • Contact-less, outdoor welcome/greeting
  • Escort to guest Villa and Inform guests of the new COVID-19 safety protocols
  • All exterior surfaces of guest luggage sanitized upon arrival at the hotel/resort and will be delivered to their Villa’s private entrance
  • Ensure that each guest has a face mask and enforce its use in all public/common areas
  • Where a guest does not have a mask, offer a complimentary one
  • Guest protocols are included in each Villa, to include procedures for reporting suspected COVID-19 cases or possible exposure
  • Villa keys are properly sanitized between guests
  • Coordination of Villa cleaning schedule with guests to minimize contact and entry to the Villa (For instance, guests may choose cleaning every other day or every third day, depending on the length of stay)
  • Contact-less Check-out procedures have been implemented

Our Private Resort Transportation

  • Chabil Mar’s private van is disinfected after each passenger drop off, and before picking up new riders
  • Hand sanitizer is included in our private van.
  • We require passengers to sanitize their hands before boarding the vehicle
  • Driver and passengers must always wear a face mask
  • Driver is required to wear gloves when handling doors, luggage and passenger’s personal property
  • Guests should not be permitted in the front passenger seat

  • Pre-arrival tour reservations are available as usual and are encouraged
