WestJet & Air Canada Boost Service for Belize’s 2025-2026 Season

If Belize has been calling your name, the 2025-2026 winter season is your moment to answer. This year brings one of the most exciting developments yet for Canadian travelers: a major expansion of seasonal flights from WestJet and Air Canada, offering more options, more seats, and a longer travel season than ever before. With the ease of direct connections from Toronto, Calgary, and Montreal, getting to Placencia and Chabil Mar has never been simpler.

The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) has confirmed that WestJet will return to Belize starting October 30, 2025 — earlier than last season — and extend service through May 10, 2026. The airline’s decision to add Monday service during peak season will increase overall flight capacity by an impressive 45% compared to last year, ensuring more availability for travelers seeking a tropical escape.

From Calgary to Belize City, WestJet will operate twice weekly (Thursdays and Saturdays) from October 30 to December 14, 2025. Beginning December 15, the schedule increases to three times weekly (Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) until April 12, 2026. Service then returns to twice weekly from April 13 to April 26, and once weekly on Saturdays until May 3.

From Toronto to Belize City, WestJet kicks off with two flights weekly from October 30 to November 9, 2025, before moving to three weekly flights from November 10 to December 14. The peak travel window — December 15, 2025, to April 12, 2026 — will see four flights a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). After April 12, service scales back to three times weekly until April 26, two weekly flights until May 3, and finally one weekly Saturday flight until May 10.

Air Canada is also making waves this season with the launch of its first-ever Montreal to Belize City direct route. This new connection begins December 8, 2025, and will run until March 2, 2026, before resuming from March 9 to April 6. Flights will depart Montreal at 5:45 PM and arrive in Belize City at 9:05 PM, giving travelers plenty of time to enjoy a comfortable evening check-in at their resort.

In addition, Air Canada’s Toronto to Belize City service will operate on March 6, March 27, and April 10, 2026, with morning departures at 10:10 AM and arrivals between 12:45 PM and 2:00 PM. These convenient schedules open up even more flexibility for trip planning.
