Belize: The Best Way to Escape the Cold and Feel Great Again!

Be at Ease at Chabil Mar Resort Belize

It’s no secret that Covid-19 has not only changed the way people live but “Depression has skyrocketed,” say Time magazine headlines. During spring and summer months, folks around the world found ways to cope that included mastering Zoom, long walks and becoming reacquainted with hobbies that could be enjoyed indoors and away from people.

But with winter on the horizon, not all of these coping mechanisms are possible – reason enough to do something that is both fun and restorative: Take a warm-weather vacation! You’re shaking your head after reading that sentence because getting on airplanes and leaving the safety of your home is probably the last thing on your mind. But once you learn more about how safe and reassuring a trip to Belize can be to your mental health during the long winter months ahead, you’ll want to join the influx of visitors the nation has been welcoming since the airport reopened on October 1, 2020.

Flights to Belize take only a few hours from the U.S. and scientists have proven that highly-filtered airline ventilation systems are not only safe but often more efficient and effective than home air conditioning systems. The Belize airport has set up a processing system that makes certain every tourist is healthy before being admitted to the country and resorts like Chabil Mar, located on the trendy Placencia peninsula, couldn’t re-open for business until they met stringent Belize tourism standards for guest health and safety.

To assure every visitor that vacations in Belize are both relaxing and safe, a Gold Standard Certification Standard was established and Chabil Mar passed all of the stringent requirements that had to be met before the resort could welcome visitors once more: Temperature checks; social distancing protocols; contact-less check in systems and world health organization cleaning and sanitation methods.

Having concluded that airline ventilating systems are safe and that Chabil Mar’s health and hygiene practices are superior, the resort is rewarding winter visitors with a perk rarely enjoyed during the Caribbean rim’s high season: Affordable rates. Feel free to read that a second time to make sure your eyes didn’t deceive you, and then visit the resort’s website to read the details. These packages and lower rates deliver an entire vacation experience at a single, affordable price.

Spend time browsing the rest of the resort’s website to read about luxury digs and spectacular small-group tours that include water sports, Maya ruins, jungles, rainforests, wildlife preserves and so much more. Visit Placencia, the charming town closest to the resort, and give yourself the space and time you need to renew your spirits under the warm Belize sun.

Chabil Mar is literally best the place to come to escape the cold while celebrating an end to 2020. Plan to toast the promise of a bright and healthy year ahead from the comfort of a beach lounge and see how it feels to relax and enjoy feeling stress-free once again. Chabil Mar staff can’t wait to welcome you to this amazing slice of paradise on earth!

USA Today: Belize Among Safest Places to Vacation!

Belize Is A Safe Places to Vacation

“USA Today” recently unveiled a list of countries that will both accept Americans looking to go vacationing and happen to be a safe place to visit during COVID-19.

Each of the countries featured in the article was profiled, including how they handle travel regulations and stipulations regarding testing. In news that should be surprising to no local, Belize was regarded as one of the safest vacation venues on the list. But just because a place is safe to visit, does it have plenty to offer? Keep reading to see just much you have to look forward to coming to Belize.

Before we get into the juicy details, you should know the specifics required to enter. Coming to this country requires you to present a negative COVID-19 test result, either on the day you enter the country or from a test you took while within the airport. You must also submit to a second test, that produces a negative result before you can return home.

Top Attractions To Explore When You Visit

  • ATM Cave. “The Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre” is a cave system that houses several Maya remains, stoneware artifacts and its namesake, the crystallized remains of a sacrifice.
  • The Belize Barrier Reef. This is the second-largest barrier reef on the planet and provides shelter and food for a sweeping array of hundreds of sea creatures. It is also where you can find the next item on this list of Belize’s best hits. This area is also a great spot if you fancy any sort of aquatic activity, be it fishing or diving.
  • The Great Blue Hole. This underwater sinkhole is attached to the Belize Barrier Reef and deep enough to produce a gorgeous disparity in color when viewed from above. Much like the Belize Barrier Reef, this place is home to a large variety of sealife, including several species of coral that you can freely observe by diving.
  • Lubantuum and Nim Li Punit. These ruins, in the south of the country, were the most prominent centers of influence and population for the ancient Maya.
