Two days ago we wrote an article on the Belize Blue Hole making international headlines and this morning while reviewing tweets on Belize, we noticed that a respected authority in travel, Trip Advisor tweeted a photo of the Blue Hole to its 1.77 million Twitter followers. ( Yes to over 1 million people!)
“You will never guess what this place is called…The Great Blue Hole off the coast of Belize,” reads the Tweet which has been favorited 144 times.
The great Blue Hole is a stunning jewel set in a ring of corals that measure 1000 feet across and 412 feet deep. It is believed to be the world’s largest blue hole and is a rich habitat for a variety of marine life like nurse sharks, reef sharks, black tip sharks and even giant groupers.
“This tweet signifies more publicity for Belize,” says Larry France, Marketing Manager of Chabil Mar, a guest exclusive resort in Placencia which offers a 4 to 7 night’s scuba diving package that includes diving the Blue Hole.
“The package also includes exploring Glovers Reef, a world renowned atoll and a combination of jungle and Maya site tours,” adds France who recommends diving the blue hole this winter.
